Scope2012 CIGRE SC C4 Colloquium provides an excellent opportunity for scientists, engineers, designers and users related to the following fields in the main: TopicsProspective authors are invited to submit abstracts on the following topics: 1. Interrelationship between Lightning and Electromagnetic Lightning-Originated Phenomena Working languageThe working language of the Colloquium is English and will be used for all printed materials, presentation and discussions. Abstracts and papers ought to be submitted in English. Information for prospective authorsAuthors are invited to submit abstracts of papers not later than May 1, 2012 to the Conference Office via Conference Web site (http://www.cigre2012-c4.jp/). The abstracts (presenting the aim, content and results) ought to be two pages long. Authors are kindly requested to propose original and not previously published papers. Only papers of a high technical/scientific level will be accepted, excluding commercial papers promoting or advertising specific products or systems. Following submission, the abstracts will be screened by the Program Committee. Authors will be informed of the acceptance of their abstracts not later than June 1, 2012. Full papers (not exceeding six pages) ought to be submitted before August 1, 2012 for review. Notification of final acceptance will be given before August 15, 2012. Important dates Abstract submission deadline: Social programA social program including visits and an excursion will be arranged. Besides, separate program for accompanying persons will be organized. Post-conference tours will be organized. AccommodationA range of hotels of different classes within short distance of the Conference venue will be available VenueHakodate city is located in the most southern part of Hokkaido. As visitors can enjoy scenic beauty, cuisine and hot spring all at once, Hakodate city is a popular tourist town in Japan. Historical buildings and townscapes influenced by the West have made Hakodate city famous as "a city with an exotic atmosphere." The night view of Hakodate city looked down from the top of Mt. Hakodate is so splendid that it is likened to myriads of jewels. Furthermore, the special historic site fort Goryokaku and the Yunokawa hot spring area are situated near the central part of the city. Gourmets are surely amazed at a wide variety of foodstuffs. Particularly, at the Asaichi market, visitors can find fresh marine products and nice foods. |
